2020 New Xiaomi Redmi AirDots S TWS vs Apple AirPods 2

 Xiaomi is an international industry leader in smart hardware so we are not talking about fakes or copies.  We are comparing two top brands of TWS earphones. Apple and Xiaomi.  Technology that is on a par.

 Now, as a starting point we recognise that Apple Airpods have been the benchmark of performance and have a huge fan base of users. In terms of TWS earbuds (truly wireless sound) they are considered the best by many.

 So at $21.99 there’s a lot to live up to.

.Audio Quality:

I have to say this, and it was far from what I expected, but the Xiaomi Redmi AirDots S sound much better than the Apple AirPods 2  Sure, everyone’s experience of the sound will different but, if they are not better, then they are just as good.

Xiaomi Redmi AirDots S provide you with a more immersive and are equipped with a 7.2mm driving unit which is powerful in low frequency, delicate, and soft in medium and high frequency. It is also equipped with DSP intelligent environment noise reduction technology, which can remove the ambient noise during a call, and the other party can hear your voice clearly.. AirPods 2, on the other hand, provides a sharper and louder sound.

 Between the Xiaomi Redmi AirDots vs Apple AirPods 2, Xiaomi Redmi AirDots my opinion is that the Airdots provide better audio quality but I’m willing to call it a draw based on Airpod users almost unanimous feedback on their quality.sound. When it comes to the call quality both are amazing but Airdots get the edge because of the intelligent environmental noise reduction.

 Appearance and texture compare

Both TWS headphones use polycarbonate (plastic) material and a flip battery box design. The Xiaomi Redmi AirDots charging box is more boxy and it has a matt surface. The surface of the Apple AirPods charging box is polished, is more flat and round is also smaller. The stylish quality we expect from Apple.

 The main body of both headphones is made of polycarbonate, but the design style is very different.

The Apple AirPods is clearly EarPods (Apple wired headphones) with the rear ear part hanging outside the ear. This part includes the battery, the main microphone, the antenna and the metal ring connecting the contact. Interaction is done by touching with your finger.

The Xiaomi Redmi AirDots has an in-ear design, which is more invisible. Its microphone and components are in a small cavity. The oval part is the multi-functional physical key of the headset which is used by pressing.

The physical buttons of the Redmi AirDots feel a little wobbly on the texture, and Apple AirPods uses seamless touch interaction. The Apple AirPods are much more compact in the charging box and the overall workmanship of the headphones is the quality we expect from Apple.

For overall physical touch and finish the AirPods are really high quality and the AirDots are good quality. Its what I expected from Apple.

Design is a matter of taste. The hanging arm of the AirPod or the in-ear look of the AirDot, it is a matter of opinion.

Specification

Apple AirPods 2 is equipped with a battery case that supports wireless charging, which is 2g more than the weight of the first generation battery case. Overall the AirPods are14g heavier than the Redmi AirDots.

 The AirPod earbuds have more than twice the battery capacity of the AirDots and the battery case is much larger than the Redmi. This means longer usage time and the battery case lasts more than twice as long as the Redmi Air Dots.

Usability

Apple AirPods are better at connecting and interacting with each other.

After first pairing, the Apple AirPods  automatically connect to the previously paired phone.Slightly differently the Redmi AirDots repair once removed from the battery box. No real difference other than a perception of reconnecting.

Both are the latest in connect technology so you want be disappointed.

AirPods use optical sensors and motion accelerometers to detect when they’re in your ears. Whether you’re using both AirPods or just one, the H1 chip automatically routes the audio and engages the microphone.  Redmi AirDots don’t support this operation. For users that use the ear buds interactively throughout the day this is a big difference.

Apple uses touch and Redmi use the physical button. The Apple AirDot is much nicer and a better experience in this aspect.  Clicking the button on the AirDot and the physical press on the ear just isn’t as nice as the seamless touch of the Apple.

Conclusion

If you are comparing an ear bud for listening to music and answering the occasional phone call then buying the Xiaomi Redmi AirDots at a fraction of the price is your best choice.

If, on the other hand, you are interacting with you ear buds throughout the day, answering calls and adjusting music, then the AIrPods will be a much nicer experience and worth the higher price for ease of use and enjoyment of the experience.  If Apple style and the touch experience are important then you will select the AirPods regardless of the price.

My advice is to look at the benefits of both.  Don’t let the price influence your opinion of quality.  The are both top quality products on a par with each other.
